Doesn't seem to work for me =( It pans the channel, not changes it's volume

Did you click the knob on the right?

The one on the left is for panning, the one on the right is for volume.

yeah it turns out I clicked the one on the left, I noticed since the tab colour was yellow instead of red. Awesome tutorial :+fav:
